Guess who’s not going to be starring in Wes Craven’s upcoming horror flick 25/8? It’s most likely that Pauly Shore won’t be in the film — unless there’s some sort of bizarre court ruling forcing Craven to take the weasel in. (Wasn’t that Shore’s nickname?)
Via Curbed LA, I found this news story about Pauly Shore [...]
There’s two ways this is going to go down. Shoving so many mutants into one film is either going to look really cool or the X-Men Origins: Wolverine is going to get too bloated. There’s been a ton of casting announcements named lately joining Hugh Jackman on-screen. They are:
Ryan Reynolds: Deadpool
Taylor Kitsch: Gambit
will.i.am: John Wraith
Liev [...]
This is the best news I’ve heard in a long time. According to Variety, David Fincher has signed on to direct an adaptation of Black Hole, the graphic novel by Charles Burns. Zodiac was my favorite film of 2007 and Black Hole was one of my favorite comic series over the 10 years it took [...]
Zack Snyder’s Watchmen has operated under a really good cloak of secrecy. Not one image of the heroes in costume have leaked out and any set photos have been just a couple of official ones. On the one hand, that’s admirable. It’s really too early to have anything leaked since the film won’t come out [...]
Releasing J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek reboot on Christmas Day always seemed like a bizarre choice for Paramount to begin with. Yes, Abrams is a big name bringing a new energy to the franchise, but the studio is still probably going to have an uphill battle getting non-Trekkies to see this especially after the previous couple [...]
A few weeks ago, we posted up a trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s latest “thriller,” The Happening, that emphasized the film’s plot that a worldwide suicide epidemic was striking. It started out with a girl stabbing herself in the neck with a needle. That trailer was soon yanked from the web, but I just saw [...]
Normally when you go to a George A. Romero zombie movie, you kind of expect it to be over-the-top both in the gore and the acting departments. Yet, here in his fifth outing with the living dead, he dials it down. Way down. Although that may sound like a disappointment, it’s nice to see him [...]
He may have lost out on directing The Wolfman — and who knows if he was even really “in,” stupid internet rumors — but John Landis has an actual film on his plate now. He’ll be directing Ghoulishly Yours, a biopic on the late William C. Gaines. Gaines isn’t really a household name, but most [...]
Oh wait, we already know what the Cloverfield monster looks like. However, Hasbro is finally selling their action figure of the beast. That there’s the picture of it from their website.
How much would you expect to pay for something like that? A hundred bucks? Well, you’d be wrong! That thing goes for $99.99 retail. And [...]
That’s the first image that’s been released promoting X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I kind of make the same face when I’m sitting on the toilet, too. And that title still bugs me. I know the studio tacked on the X-Men part because they didn’t think Wolverine had enough recognition on his own to draw in an [...]
